Dining Cart Gives Patients Meal Flexibility at NJ Hospital

Somerset (NJ) Medical Center has launched a bedside dining program that serves patients meals of their choice from a café-style cart, reports the Somerset Reporter. Piloted in the Medical Center’s John and Mary Obzansky Pavilion, the program lets staffers deliver meals to patient rooms straight from a cart that goes directly to the wards. It allows patients to change orders at the last minute or exchange meals. The cart stores both hot and cold foods, from chicken picatta to chilled salads.
