Compass to Deploy Visa Contactless Readers

Compass Group North America will begin deploying Visa payWave contactless readers at check-out lanes across its foodservice locations. PayWave makes completing transactions faster and easier by enabling Visa cardholders to make a purchase simply by holding their Visa payWave-enabled card near the reader instead of swiping it. Transactions under $25 do not require a signature, saving even more time. Visa payWave transactions use a microchip embedded in the card to send payment information rapidly and securely over an extremely short distance to the point of sale reader.
