Compass North America Posts Strong Organic Growth

Compass Group plc reported organic growth of 5.9%, and profit growth of 19% in constant currency terms for its 2008 fiscal year, ended September 30. The North American unit posted an organic growth rate of 7.1%, with operating profit growing 17% to 6.8%. The company cites quality new business such as Nortel and Exxon, as well as the Outtakes grab and go concept, for a strong 6% organic gain in the B&I segment in North America.
